They pride themselves on being a healthy, plant-based alternative for

When the business owners experienced ill health of their own canine companion 'Mr Sprinkles', they developed a heartfelt solution to try improve his health, by baking dog snacks that are completely vegan,
with no additives or preservatives. Nutritious with nothing malicious!

After creating a strong brand strategy I honed in on developing a strong logo for the visual identity. From prior research & mood-boarding I set my sights on a quirky hand-rendered approach to the brief. Mr Sprinkles Munchies is a brand that goes against corporate goods and produce, which reminded me
of those "weird & wonky" fruits/vegetables you find at the farmers market - uneven but raw, organic and true to nature. From sketches to digital - I began to experiment with rough logo concepts to progress with.
Upon completion of the experimentation process, I progressed with one of my strongest concepts and developed this to a final stage. I wanted to enhance the "Mr" "Munchies" typography, whilst still keeping the hand-drawn rough edged appearance. I decided to take this opportunity to carefully illustrate a whole font for the purpose of not only the logo, but the visual identity. Keeping in mind that I will also be designing the packaging for Mr Sprinkles Munchies, I believed that designing a font would be beneficial to create strong brand consistency.

THE MASCOT

My roughs led me to a heap of woofing wild pups! But, we felt the style didn’t quite hit the mark for the brand's tone. We wanted an anthropomorphic mascot that had a sense of care, fun and an effortlessly friendly vibe. Keeping in mind that Mr Sprinkles will be used throughout most of the branding, especially
for the packaging; he needed to be diverse and flexible enough for the needs of the brands visual content.
Low and behold... I developed a rough sketch that was the perfect embodiment for the brand's mascot - he’s friendly, caring with an almost goofy charm. A trustworthy mascot, that was a successful departure from the more wild-tone of my previous illustration experiments.

Having completed the brand's word mark and mascot, it was time to develop the visual identity! Selecting a colour palette, choosing fonts, and illustrating extra graphics for promotional material and window vinyl.
It was at this point in the project where the brand truly came into fruition.

With the mascot and visual style identified, I was able to move forward with development of the packaging designs. It was important for the character to express the personality of each packaging, i.e. ‘The Big Apple’ had to express the zing of an apple, whilst playing into the concept of New York - ‘The Big Apple’. I wanted Mr Sprinkles to have a somewhat Godzilla complex - tearing through New York city, to enhance the fun nature of the visuals playing on the words of the pack.
I exported all final digital illustrations from Procreate and imported my digital sketches into Adobe Illustrator to re-draw, for a more polished look/feel. At this stage I was able to sharpen the design and make any final changes, whilst carefully selecting a colour palette that resonated with the pack, adding flair & contrast.
After the successful execution of the new packaging designs, my client was very happy and had the packaging printed with a printing supplier. I noticed my client had taken a few photographs on their phone to display on the website, I wanted them to make the best first impression to potential customers, and so I offered an additional service to have their packaging photographed professionally by myself.
